Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Welcome

Troop 15 is a friendly, welcoming troop where every scout makes a difference. Our boy-led program for ages 11-17 encourages character-building, citizenship, leadership, personal fitness, and career exploration. We continue to instill a value that has been at the heart of the Boy Scouts of America for over 100 years — be prepared. Prepared. For Life.®

Our troop meets year-round on Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 1718 Avalon Ave, Joliet, IL. Please contact us to attend a meeting or join us on an outing.

For New Scouts

Are you new to scouting? We invite you to visit us to see our boy-led program in action, and to learn how the Patrol Method is used to develop youth leaders. Please contact us to arrange a visit or to answer questions regarding the Scouting program.

For general information on the Boy Scouts of America program please visit beascout.org.  The site will provide an overview of the Scouting program and will assist you in finding Packs, Troops, and Venture Crews in your area.

For Webelos

Are you a Webelos Scout or a Den Leader? Troop 15 would be happy to partner with you or your den. Our scouts can help Webelos earn activity badges such as Aquanaut, and we welcome you to attend one of our meetings or outings as you work on the Arrow of Light requirements. Please contact us to plan a visit or an activity to meet your needs.

What We Do

Past events include: hiking, camping, canoeing, horseback riding, rock wall climbing, archery, Air Fest, and summer camp.  Our troop has also participated in several community service projects such as a Thanksgiving food drive, Christmas caroling at a local nursing home, and support projects for our chartered organization. Through these outings our troop strives to develop a balanced sense of self sufficiency, community service, and leadership in our scouts.
