Controlled Land Burn Outing

IMG_0121The Scouts of Troop 15 participated in a controlled land burn on April 11th in Milton, WI.  The outing was combined with a cabin camping trip where the boys worked on rank advancement, cooked breakfast for themselves, and then moved on to the land burn.  Trained staff explained the importance of controlled land burns as part of the restoration process for native plants, and the positive environmental impact of restoring and maintaining wetlands.  The boys enjoyed the learning experience and are eager to return for a future outing.
